4 Week Aerial Yoga Course

Learn the foundations of yoga in the slings in four consecutive weeks at our Castle Hill or St Marys Studio

Starts October 8th or 27th 2024

How can we help you?

We get it. Life can be A LOT. We are juggling all the plates and then some. When and even how do we make the time for our own self care while learning something new?

Well, first and foremost we need to push it up our priority list and make it a habit, and how can we do that?

BY STARTING!

Leaving the house to start a new form of exercise is by far the hardest part of this journey. Once you walk through our doors however, we promise to do the rest.

What results can you expect from our Aerial Yoga course?

If you can manage to come to all four classes, together we will continue to work on...

  • Improved balance and upper body strength: You don't need an epic core and huge biceps to get upside down on the slings. Our teacher will help you gain strength sustainably and safely.
  • Improved mood: Regular exercise and yoga can stimulate the release of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that promote happiness and reduce stress and anxiety.
  • Increased energy levels: Engaging in physical activity can boost your overall energy levels and reduce feelings of fatigue (so less brain fuzz!)
  • Better sleep: Exercise and yoga can help regulate your sleep patterns, leading to more restful and refreshing sleep.
  • Enhanced flexibility and balance: Yoga, in particular Aerial Yoga, can improve your flexibility and balance over time, reducing the risk of injuries and improving posture. This also means less sore back, hips, shoulders neck, just all the things we can get doing repetitive tasks at work.
  • Strengthened muscles and bones: Regular exercise can increase muscle strength and even improve bone density.
  • Weight management: Combined with a balanced diet, regular exercise can contribute to weight loss or weight maintenance, leading to better overall health so we can be here longer in this wonderful thing called life.
  • Improved cardiovascular health: Exercise can strengthen your heart and improve blood circulation, reducing the risk of heart-related diseases. Bring on those stairs!
  • Lower blood pressure: Regular physical activity can lead to a reduction in blood pressure, promoting better heart health.
  • Enhanced focus and brain function: science has linked Exercise to improved cognitive abilities and increased focus and concentration. Something alot of us need in these days of information overload.
  • Stress reduction: Both exercise and yoga can help alleviate stress and promote a sense of relaxation.
  • Boosted immune system: Regular physical activity can enhance the immune system, making your body more resilient to infections and illnesses.
  • Finding community: Of course, a personal favorite is the fact that going to a class, in a studio, with other adults creates something very special indeed. This is a connection via new friendships, as well as a safe space within our walls to just be as you are, with nothing to do and nowhere to be (and no one needing anything from you, at least for 75 minutes!).
  • It's FREAKING FUN! When did we stop having fun? Swinging, twirling, and just playing is so good for our soul, regardless of age.

What's included in a 4 week course?

This four-week Aerial Yoga course includes all four 75-minute classes in a workshop style. This means you have the opportunity to ask questions and work on what is holding you back with our teacher.

Everyone in the class will be a beginner, so the teachers are ready to make you feel as welcome and supported as possible.

Yes Please!

Our Sankalpa to you

Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word (ancient language often used in yoga) meaning "intention". Sort of like a spiritual promise, we would love to make a Sankalpa to you.

After doing this four-week Aerial Yoga course at Nin Yoga, we promise you will feel better and be better just because you carved out some time to simply have fun! Life doesn't need to be so serious ;)

15th October - Castle Hill
27th October - St Marys

Meet Your Teachers

Paige Lamb

I first found yoga as a means of support for my anxiety. Meditation and pranayama have since been a regular practice for me. The more yoga I did the better I coped with life and the more I shared yoga the more I saw how it can help everyone.

I made my journey into teaching to share how yoga helped me - observe yourself as you are here and now so you can better move forward. Moving forward has led to me now teaching Aerial Yoga and becoming a personal trainer because to me movement is medicine!

Rebecca Browne

"Movement has always been a part of my life in some form, for as long as I can remember, through sports, dance and group fitness classes. I became a group fitness instructor over 19 years ago and started teaching freestyle aerobics way back when the grapevine was a still thing. I have loved  sharing my passion for group fitness with my classes over these years, not only for all the physical and mental health benefits but also the sense of community.

I found yoga in my teenage years and practiced on and off for many years. Then in 2020 I found this cute little studio called Nin Yoga with a huge sign at the back of the room advertising yoga teacher training.  After years of telling myself I wasn't ready to do a yoga teacher training, I saw this as my sign and eventually worked up the courage to sign up. Not only did this deepen my own personal practice beyond the asana,  but I was even more motivated by my awe-inspiring teachers. I am so grateful to be able to share what I have learnt so far with others.  "
