I have been ITCHING to tell you something.
Something that if you asked me if it was a possibility in June, I would have been like, "Mateeeeeeee, what are you even on about?".
Something that just continues to prove that there is only so much we can plan in this life.
Nin Yoga is merging with a dear friend in Castle Hill! From September 1st, all of our students and members will be able to book at that location, our third location!
Long story short, Body Barre Air, a studio I used to teach at, maybe 8 or 9 years ago, is looking for a new studio mumma.
Considering I already half knew the vibe of the community, and am still friends with the current teachers, and resonate with all their offers and core values, I actually didn't know how to say no.
That being said, I didn't say yes right away, either. I got the message with the offer while sitting by the first roasting marshmallows with the family. I then read the message out loud to the baby daddy and put the phone away.
I didn't talk about it again with Aaron for a few days, but my golly, MY HEAD WAS SPINNING!
You know the news that takes up all your brain space and wakes you up 3:30am just craving to calculate figures and put together schedules?
That was that news.
I had promised my family I would not be opening any more studios (Anyone remember when I opened five studios in five years? That was a doozy!), but this one wasn't technically being built from scratch; it was more like passing on the flame.
After a couple of days of overthinking, I brought it back up with Aaron and told him something along the lines of "Im sorry honey, but if this ends up being a sustainable deal for Nin Yoga, I am going to take it", which to then he replied "I already knew you were going to say yes when you read out the message by the fire".
Hah! He knows me a bit toooo well....
Anywho, the next two weeks involve me talking to all my trusted business and yoga friends, most whom you probably already know: Suzie Q, Katie Rose, Sonam, and Karen, as well as Mihaela and Dolce, who are my pilates expert friends (this Castle Hill studio is predominantly pilates, and I have never taught it personally!).
With the support of my family and beautiful advice from my friends in the industry, we then moved forward and agreed to rebrand it as Nin Yoga from September 1st (I decided that date BEFORE I realized it was fathers Day 🤦🏽 Whoops! I'll make it up to you honey I promise!)
Now here is the part where I show you pictures...
See?! HOW COULD I SAY NO!?
It currently serves Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Barre, Pilates Mat, and Reformer.
This means that from September 1st (once I figure out how to actually merge our booking systems and schedules together—wish me luck with that one!), if you are ever in the area, you are more than welcome to use your current membership or passes to book any of your classes there too.
And yes, that includes reformer classes!
I'll keep you up to date in this newsletter when bookings are live (I am going to try for next week but it's mostly up to the tech gods)
And now that I have "officially" announced this, I feel my belly doing many flops making it all REAL! (or, TMI warning, maybe that's just the gastro I had yesterday?)
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply. I hope you got to lay in the sun at some point today. I'm pretty sure I even got a tan this time around.
Annika xx
