seven essentials

We are once again asking for your help.

This time, we are after the SEVEN ESSENTIALS.

Shampoo

Conditioner

Toothpaste

Toothbrush

Soap

Menstruation products

Roll on deodorant

Each of these items need to be unused and in the original packaging (for example, a 10 pack of toothbrushes can not be opened and split individually).

We are also happy to accept any pre-loved handbags or backpacks 

Why are we collecting these items you ask?

One of our dearest teacher training graduates and yoga teachers Mary Backhouse has rounded up a bunch of us for a packing party at our Nin Yoga Penrith Studio on the 23rd of November.

This means we have exactly 30 DAYS to collect as much of the essential seven products possible.

We will fill up tote bags (or pre-loved handbags donated by you) and drop them off to Minchinbury Bunnings to then get them passed on to woman in need during Christmas.

It sucks to think that women and girls may be spending Christmas in a domestic violence refuge or homeless shelter and waking up to not very much.

The impact these offerings have is so much more than you could ever imagine.

For Kim the shampoo allowed her to wash the day away and years later she still uses the same shampoo because it makes her feel safe.

For Helen it allowed her to see her daughter smile for the first time since fleeing domestic violence with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

For Linda it meant that she didn’t have to experience the PTSD she faced every time she tried to go into a baby store due to losing her first baby.

You may never meet the woman or girl who will receive your kind donation but know that one bag filled with essentials can be the beacon of love and hope that they need during a time that is not so crash hot.

So how do you donate?

You can simply drop off your items at any one of our Nin Yoga Studios, or get the items delivered directly to our St Marys Studio (Shop 2, 343 Great Western Highway, St Marys, NSW, 2760).

From there, we will gather them all and sort them out ready to go on a serve whoever is in need.

P.S We have released dates for our next NEXT teacher training! Sundays for 8 months starting May 25th 2025. No webpage yet for that one, but sharing it early in case it resonates and you feel like storing that information in your brain early.

P.P.S We are handing out lollies THIS SATURDAY for Halloween at our St Marys Studio! Come visit myself and a 5 year old full of sugar in front of our studio if in or around Queen Street, and hey, maybe this year ill actually dress up as something other than a "yoga teacher"
